Uh, my Disney friends are moving out of their home location, and I’m kinda freaking out.

If there’s one thing that’s been consistent throughout all of the crazy construction projects at Magic Kingdom, like a Villains-themed land and Piston Peak with pals from Cars joining Frontierland, it has been Storybook Circus. This little oasis has stood tall with minimal renovations and refurbishments, but now something is happening, and I don’t know how to feel about it.
You can meet Daisy, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy dressed in their circus attire at Pete’s Silly Sideshow, but it looks like they’re taking a pause. The meet and greet space will close on January 4th, and the four characters will be meeting around Storybook Circus.

On the Disney World calendar, there are currently no available hours past January 4th, so we’re not sure when it will become available again, but the website does say it will be “temporarily unavailable.” Likely, they’re completing some refurbishments in the space and giving it a refresh.

Looking to meet more characters? Mickey meets in the Town Square Theater, right at the beginning of Magic Kingdom. My favorite way to experience characters is with character dining restaurants. This way, I can sit and enjoy my meal and have about four characters come up to me, all without having to leave my table.

Cinderella’s Royal Table is an option where you can usually meet Cinderella, Aurora, Snow White, Ariel, and Jasmine. You’ll be able to eat inside the actual Cinderella Castle, which just adds to the whole experience.

My personal favorite in Magic Kingdom is The Crystal Palace, which has Pooh Bear, Eeyore, Tigger, and Piglet, and always gives me a huge blast of nostalgia. The buffet has incredible grits and a lovely carving station.

If you’re looking to meet more Mickey and friends, you can also hop to the Contemporary Resort and dine at Chef Mickey’s. It’s only a monorail ride away (or a short walk) from Magic Kingdom, and you can cross off Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto off your meet and greet list.

We’ll be keeping an eye on the meet and greet to see what’s happening to the space, so for all the updates you need for your upcoming Disney World trip, make sure you keep following AllEars.
