It’s Disneyland’s birthday!

The original Disney theme park is turning 70 this year, and the celebrations formally kick off on May 16th. One of the ways Disney is celebrating is by bringing back one of our favorite nighttime parades! Come with us to check out the Paint the Night Parade.
Disneyland’s Paint the Night Parade is back! This parade lights up the night in a dazzling display of over 1.5 million computer-controlled LED lights and features floats, Disney characters, imaginative costumes, motion, light, choreography, and a bouncy soundtrack!

This parade was last seen in 2018, so we were thrilled when Disney announced its return. Throughout the nighttime performance, a special edition of “When Can I See You Again” by Owl City will play along with other Disney and Pixar songs. Enough chit chat, how does the parade actually look?!
The parade kicks off with a special 70th anniversary float with Peter Pan and Tinker Bell.

Tinker Bell was lighting up the night with her pixie dust!

Anna and Elsa joined with their frozen fractals.

We also spotted friends like Tigger and Genie…

…Belle…

…The Toy Story crew…

…Mike and Sulley…

…Sorcerer Mickey…

…and Mack!

Paint the Night will run twice a night at 8:45 PM and 10:45 PM, depending on the weather! If you want the ultimate Paint the Night experience, the Plaza Inn offers the Paint the Night Dining Package. This package includes a multi-course, all-in-one meal and reserved viewing for the parade.

We are thrilled to see this Disneyland favorite return for the festivities and can’t wait to dive into even more. As always, be sure to keep following AllEars for more Disney news and updates.
