Sure, you could just walk up to TRON Lightcycle / Run or Seven Dwarfs Mine Train and get in the standby queue any time of day, but you’ll risk waiting in a really long line. If you plan ahead a bit, you can conquer any of the popular rides with success! And today, we’re sharing our secrets for the perfect time to ride Frozen Ever After in Disney World.

The BEST Times to Ride Frozen Ever After

If you’re hoping to score the shortest wait time possible on Frozen Ever After without paying for the Lightning Lane, we’ve got two possible strategies for you. Based on past wait times data, the best times to get in line are at rope drop or in the last hour and a half of the day.

Starting with rope drop, you’ll have the best success if you make sure you’re in line for the ride RIGHT AWAY. In fact, if you’re staying on Disney World property, you’ll probably have better luck if you just head here first during Early Theme Park Entry. For those staying off-site, do not dilly-dally — walk directly and quickly back to Frozen Ever After when the park opens and get in line right away.

But if you’re not an early bird, you could also try the end-of-the-day route. We’ve noticed that wait times for Frozen Ever After tend to dip a little bit in the last hour and a half of the park day. This is the prime time when those Frozen-loving kiddos start to crash or families get ready for fireworks or bedtime. And if you’re willing to skip the fireworks, you might even find yourself walking onto the ride at the end of the night!

The WORST Times to Ride Frozen Ever After

On the other hand, there are two big times when you want to AVOID Frozen Ever After. You probably shouldn’t get in line for the ride in the late morning, or in the afternoon.

By late morning, you’re dealing with all the people who slept in on their EPCOT day, or the people who decided to hit other rides at the front of the park first. At this point, the wait time will be climbing to its peak and the weather will be getting hotter — making waiting outside not so pleasant.

And if you wait until the afternoon to get in line, you’ll be dealing with the heaviest crowds of the day. The World Showcase typically gets the busiest between lunch and dinnertime, which means those Showcase rides will have high waits. Do yourself a favor and go early in the morning or late at night!
