Okay, where are our Disney history buffs at?

If you’ve binge-watched every episode of Behind The Attraction on Disney+ and follow Disney Legend and Imagineer Bob Gurr for all the behind-the-scenes details at the parks, you might want to consider a tour to Walt Disney Studios. Now, you can’t just stroll into the studios and just look around. However, an exclusive tour of Walt Disney Studios will be available soon.
D23 is offering its annual Walt Disney Studios Tour from September 3rd through 30th, 2024. For general (free) members, tickets are $149 for weekday tours and $159 for weekend tours per person plus a $7 processing fee. Gold Members can buy tickets for $99 for weekday tours or $109 for weekend tours per person plus a $7 processing fee.

The experience is a tour-and-a-half-hour walking tour of Walt Disney Studios, including a visit to Walt Disney’s office suite, the Walt Disney Archives, and Legends Plaza. You can even get an opportunity for a private visit to the Archives. Yes, you can see Walt Disney’s actual office, where he worked every day! We had a chance to visit the office, so you can see more photos here.

A VIP tour host will take you through the original Animation Building, as well as through soundstages used for live-action movies like 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, Mary Poppins, Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. You’ll also visit Legends Plaza, which honors those Disney Legends who made significant contributions to the Disney company.

You’ll also get a chance to step inside The Walt Disney Archives, followed by a visit to Walt Disney’s office, which has all the original furnishings, awards, and items from Walt’s personal collection. At the end of the tour, you’ll receive an exclusive gift to commemorate your experience.

Note that anyone under the age of 10 is not allowed on the tour and those under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Photography is allowed in most locations of the tour, but recording of any kind, including video recording, is not. Flash photography is also not allowed in the Archives or Walt Disney’s office suite.
If you’d like to buy tickets, they’re available here.
