It’s the age-old question, “When is the BEST time to visit Disney World?” and the answer could surprise you!

While there’s no one-size-fits-all answer to when is the best time to travel for you and your family, we study to stay on top of the latest technology and best deals to help you travel when you want at the best price. Now, we’re learning about travels during 2024, sooner is better!
While you’re probably counting on spending most of your days in January recouping from the holidays, we’ve got an idea of what else you could be doing. It turns out that January could be the BEST time to book your next Disney World vacation. Before you start yelling at us through the screen…let us lay out our findings to you.

Hopper is an online booking platform that allows consumers to compare airfare prices at various times throughout the year. The latest data they have collected suggests that January will be the cheapest time to travel in early 2024. Their findings saw domestic airfares averaging just $253 – 11% lower than in December and 6% lower than January 2023.

“… January will be the cheapest month of the year to book travel until the fall shoulder season in September and October, so now is a great time for travelers to take advantage of low prices and book those trips. Fares will rise into late spring as the spring break and summer travel period heat up…” said Hayley Berg, Hopper’s lead economist. Airlines are also helping to offset the price of flying by adding seats to more popular destinations to visit.

Berg also went on to suggest being open to traveling during off-peak times and protecting yourself in case something goes wrong. “Flexibility continues to be a key trend for consumers in 2024 coming out of the pandemic. A shift in consumer behavior has solidified in the last three years, with more and more travelers willing to pay extra for products specifically designed to protect them from travel disruptions,” Berg said. She also went on to mention that one in five flights booked through their online engine opt to purchase additional travel protections to protect travelers from unexpected interruptions and circumstances.
It’s an interesting perspective to change the way we’ve thought about traveling in 2024 and getting a better understanding of the way travelers are trending. Be sure to stay tuned with us at AllEars for even more travel news and updates.
