Genie+ CHANGE Announced for Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean Attraction

You know the old saying, “It’s like comparing apples to oranges.“? Well, how do we feel about comparing Disney World to Disneyland? Is it a fair comparison, given the BIG difference in size? To be fair, the two parks share many of the same attractions.

Something else the two parks have in common? They both utilize Disney Genie+, the paid FastPass system that allows guests to skip the lines at some of the most popular attractions. Genie+ looks pretty different at Disneyland Park and Magic Kingdom, but for a limited time, the two parks will both offer Genie+ Lightning Lane access to one popular ride.

According to @ScottGustin on Twitter/X, Disneyland Park will temporarily add Pirates of the Caribbean to the Genie+ lineup. This change will happen as other attractions are closed for refurbishment.

Disney has not shared how long Pirates of the Caribbean will stick around on Genie+, but we’ll be on the lookout for more information.

Currently, there are 12 rides available on Genie+ in Disneyland Park, including Haunted Mansion, Space Mountain, Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, and more.

Disney states, “Please note that attractions may vary by date, are subject to change, and may not be available at all on the day of your visit or at the time that you are making a selection. Availability can change throughout the day. To learn about any closures or long-term refurbishments, please view details about the attraction on our website or mobile app.”

As a reminder, on January 22nd, the Haunted Mansion attraction is listed on Disneyland’s refurbishment calendar. Additionally, Astro Orbitor and Mark Twain’s Riverboat are both still closed, with no reopening date listed.

Over in Disney California Adventure, there are nine attractions included with Genie+.
