Marvel actor Jeremy Renner was recently in a serious accident involving a snow plow and was hospitalized for his injuries.

CNN reported Renner suffered “blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries” and as of Monday evening, he was still in the care of the ICU in “critical but stable condition,” according to his spokesperson.
The latest update on his condition came from Renner’s own Instagram. The actor posted a photo of himself in the hospital with the caption “Thank you all for your kind words. ?. Im too messed up now to type. But I send love to you all.”
Fans are hopeful that this means the actor is heading towards a positive recovery. Several of his Marvel co-stars commented on the post in support of Renner. Chris Hemsworth who plays Thor said, “Speedy recovery buddy. Sending love your way!” while Chris Evans who plays Steve Rogers said, “Tough as nails. Love you buddy”.
We have also learned more about the accident that led to his hospitalization. Samantha Mast, Renner’s publicist, spoke with CNN and shared that he was using his snow plow to clear driveways in the community near his home in Nevada. Renner had disembarked the snow plow to assist a family member who was stuck in the snow, but the machine began to roll away and Renner was injured when he tried to climb back in.

Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam, who was present on the scene, told CNN that the sheriff’s office is in possession of the snow plow and is investigating for any potential machinery failures. This is normal procedure following any incidents like this, but at the moment the entire situation is being treated as a tragic accident.
