We’re about to talk about Disney’s skip-the-line system — Disney Genie+.

A few months back, surge pricing was introduced for Genie+, meaning it would no longer be a set price of $15 a person per day. It would depend on what day you went. This past week, we’ve seen some REALLY high Genie+ prices due to the holiday, but now, those prices have DROPPED.
Just about a week ago on November 21st, Genie+ cost guests $29 per person to skip the lines, which is the highest we’d ever seen.

However, now that the holiday week is over, the price for Genie+ has dropped back down to $17 per person.

Not only that, but prices for “fancy rides” (Individual Attraction Selections) have also gone down. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is down to $14…

…Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is at $10…

…Avatar Flight of Passage is $13…

…and Rise of the Resistance is the highest at $17.

So what does this mean? Well, if you’ll be visiting the parks in December close to the holidays, beware that it’s very likely prices for Genie+ will rise again. Make sure you and your party know when using Genie+ is worth it, and adjust your budget if you want to use the service.
