With Halloween costumes being so expensive, many people are choosing instead to DIY a costume at home.

If you’re going to spend money on your costume pieces you probably want to be able to wear them again instead of wasting it all on an item you can only wear around Halloween.
We’ve put together five looks that do double duty! Not only do they make amazing Halloween costumes, but you can also wear them again the next time you visit Disney.
Lilo from Lilo & Stitch
Jump on your own Hawaiian rollercoaster ride with this fun outfit inspired by Lilo! An icon to all weird little girls everywhere, Lilo not only reminds you to stay true to yourself, but her costume is also super easy to put together.
The staple of this look is her dress which is so recognizable you could even stop there! If you want to add a few more pieces, add a flower to your hair and a pair of dark green sandals. When using this as a park outfit, why not bring a Lilo & Stitch backpack to use as your park bag? Throw on a few more accessories inspired by the movie and you’re good to go!
Little Green Alien from Toy Story
More of a Pixar fan? We designed this outfit after another movie featuring aliens! Wear a shirt with one of those little green guys on it, like this top. We added a two-tone skirt that matches their swirling saucers, plus the fabric gives futuristic and outer space vibes.
For Halloween, you could do a green makeup look to really punch up your costume! When taking this outfit into Toy Story Land, add your favorite matching accessories, like this bag and these ears.
Winnie the Pooh
This outfit is sweet as honey! It’s easy to put together an outfit that is instantly recognized as that lovable old bear, Winnie the Pooh. Pick a top that matches Pooh’s red shirt, then add some yellow bottoms like this skater skirt.
Add a couple of honey and bear accessories, and you have a costume! To switch things up and turn this into a park outfit, just add a pair of ears and a bag. These are technically Belle ears, but we think they fit!
Minnie Mouse
There are few Disney looks that are as classic as Minnie Mouse. Creating a Minnie costume is as simple as mixing and matching red, black, and white — just make sure you include some polka dots! Here we copied Minnie’s red and white polka dot skirt and then added a black top.
If you really want to match, make sure your shoes are yellow just like hers. For Halloween, you could also do some cute mouse face paint and add a pair of big false eyelashes! After the holiday is over and you’re ready to debut this look at Disney, don’t forget your classic Minnie ears!
Pizza Planet
Not all costumes have to be based on a specific character. This look channels one of the best fictional pizza places! Grab a Pizza Planet brand shirt like this black and red one, and then coordinate the rest of your outfit with your shirt.
Add the matching hat and you have a costume as a Pizza Planet employee! If you wanted to you could even use an apron to really punch it up. For park days, just wear your favorite walking shoes for a comfy look that’s Disney-fied.
We are all about repurposing, and getting outfits that you can wear both for Halloween and at Disney is a great way to spend your money wisely and do good for the planet.
