We’ve been seeing supply issues affect Disney World, bringing in less merchandise and potentially driving some prices up.

One gift shop is still closed in Disney’s Hollywood Studios because there are just not enough items to keep it stocked. Plus, we already reported that chicken tenders could be another casualty of the global supply problems, and now there’s another classic theme park food that will cost you more on your next grocery store run.
ClickOrlando stated that beef prices are reaching record highs right now, with the cost climbing 21% in just the last year.

Customers are paying more for beef and cattle farmers are getting less for their cattle because there is an excess amount of cattle and a shortage of space for beef processing. This creates a bottleneck because right now there just isn’t enough capacity (of space or workers) to process the meat that Americans are demanding.

Apparently, more meat processing facilities are opening in America soon, which could lead to stabilized prices for both the customers and the cattle farmers.

Until those facilities open, we could potentially see the prices rise for beef-based dishes in Disney World to compensate for the high price of the meat, though this has not been the case thus far.

We’ll keep an eye on the prices in the parks and let you know if we see those increases happen.
