Stock PROBLEMS Cause a Store to CLOSE in Disney World

It seems like no trip to Disney World is complete without a trip to the gift shop! Whether you’re shopping for yourself or for someone special back home, the stores are filled with must-have souvenirs, like the latest Minnie Ears, spirit jerseys, plush, and more.

If you were planning on doing a bit of shopping at the Beverly Sunset Shop in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, however, it looks like you’ll need to purchase your merchandise elsewhere!

That’s because Beverly Sunset Shop was closed when we visited the parks today! And it sounds like this closure will last for quite some time.

Beverly Sunset Shop is closed!

When we spoke with a Cast Member, we were told that Beverly Sunset Shop was low in stock and that they did not have enough inventory to put into the store. We were told that the store is temporarily closed, but that they were hoping to reopen in a couple of months! That’s right — months! That means we may not see the shop reopen in 2021, as the new year is less than two months away.

You’ll have to shop elsewhere for a while!

At this time, we did not spot any signage informing guests that the store was closed, but there were a few Cast Member standing outside of the entrance to talk to guests.

Cast Members are helping inform guests that the shop is closed temporarily.

We’ll be sure to check in on the status of Beverly Sunset Shop at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, as well as the many other shops around Disney World in the coming weeks to see if any inventory issues start to impact other areas in the parks and resorts.
