PHOTOS & VIDEOS: Dug and Darth Vader?! Special Characters Have Appeared in Disney World Today!

Today, Disney is celebrating a special occasion: Disney+ Day! This day, which puts a spotlight on Disney’s streaming service, features a wide range of festivities that you can enjoy at home or at the Disney parks.

In the theme parks, Disney+ subscribers have been able to enter the parks early, get some fun freebies, get free PhotoPass downloads, and more. If you’re in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, you’ll also want to keep an eye out for some VERY special character appearances in honor of the occasion!

Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, some extra special friends, whose faces you’ll recognize from some of the movies and shows on Disney+, have appeared in the parks today!

Specifically, we found Moana chatting to guests about being voyagers!

Over near the Star Tours attraction, Darth Vader and his stormtroopers made a special appearance!

We have a feeling he can sense if you’re strong with the Force, and he may or may not try to sway you to join the Dark Side, so don’t say you haven’t been warned!

Closer to the front of the park, we spotted the fantastic trio from Up having some fun!

But wait, there’s more! We also spotted Tiana in the park. She even had her dancing shoes on! Looks like she’s ready for any party that might just pop up.

That’s a peek at the characters we’ve seen in the parks so far! The My Disney Experience app notes that, as part of Disney+ Day, special characters will be making appearances throughout the park and in motorcades. So, if you’re heading to Hollywood Studios today, be on the lookout for these Disney friends.
