A Pokémon theme park? We’re interested.
Universal theme parks around the world have been adding some pretty neat offerings to the theme parks. Universal Studios Japan got Super Nintendo World earlier this year and Epic Universe is a whole new park coming to Universal Orlando. Now, Universal Studios Japan will be adding Pokémon attractions to the park!
According to Polygon, The Pokémon Company shared that 2022 will bring a “long-term partnership” between it and Universal to explore new entertainment to immerse park guests in the world of Pokémon. New attractions will combine real and virtual experiences.
President and CEO of Universal Studios Japan J.L. Bonnier noted, “Pokémon is beloved by fans around the world. We are honored to have a long-term partnership with The Pokémon Company while developing groundbreaking Pokémon entertainment at Universal Studios Japan for both Pokémon fans and our guests.”
There are no details shared about what the new attractions might entail, but we are very interested to see how Pokémon will be featured in the theme park.
