It’s 2020, which means we are officially at the start of our first full year of Disney+! And 2020 is due to be an exciting year for Disney+, as the streaming service has plans to premiere a variety of original movies and series.

Today, we learned a bit more information about one of the new original movies coming to the service, including the premiere date and trailer!Disney+ has announced that their new original film Stargirl will be premiering on the service on March 13. They debuted the date alongside a new poster for the film, featuring Grace VanderWaal as the title character.

Disney describes the film as “a tender and offbeat coming-of-age story”. It’s based on a popular young adult novel by the same name that chronicles the relationship between a quirky high schooler and the community around her. Watch the recently released trailer for the upcoming film below.
