No matter where you’re traveling to next, chances are we can probably all agree that saving a bit of money — or even getting free amenities — can be the icing on the cake.

Often, people in certain exclusive groups can reap even more rewards when it comes to travel — whether it’s a frequent-flyer program or being a travel credit cardholder. These programs come with a TON of perks, and right now, eligible American Express cardholders can score a FREE perk on their next Delta flight — here’s how.
Right now, eligible American Express cardholders can score a FREE premium snack on select Delta Air Lines flights. Basic Delta SkyMiles® Blue, Gold, Gold Business, Platinum, Platinum Business, Reserve, and Reserve Business American Express Card Members can take advantage of this perk onboard Delta Sync Wi-Fi-enabled flights.

The perk is available on flights over 900 miles that are within the United States or between the United States and Canada, Mexico, Central America, or the Caribbean. It’s only offered for a limited time — while supplies last through October 31st, 2026.

To redeem this offer, eligible cardmembers must do the following:
- Log in to Delta Sync Wi-Fi on an eligible flight.
- Click “Redeem Now” on the premium complimentary snack limited-time offer.
- Show the credential to a flight attendant during regular cabin service.
- Select one of the available premium complimentary snacks.
The snack options may vary and are subject to change and availability, and there is a limit of one premium complimentary snack per eligible card member per flight.

This sounds like a fantastic way to get a free premium snack on your next Delta flight! Of course, depending on the flight, passengers will receive a complimentary snack regardless — but this also allows eligible passengers to get a premium snack for free!

Are you a Delta cardmember? Let us know in the comments below!

Sorry for being a “Debbie Downer” on this one … is it really worth being saddled with credit card interest rates of 17% – 25% on unpaid balances, annual fees from $0 for limited benefits up to $895 for 1x–5x point multipliers, high spending bonuses, and premium travel benefits to get a snack (one per passenger per flight) that costs $1.50 at Dollar Tree or Walmart? On May 19th Delta eliminated food and beverage service on about 450 daily flights of 349 miles or less. Delta thinks we forgot about them eliminating service on those flights and as a consolation prize is grifting us into getting a Delta credit card so that we can a get a $1.50 snack on flights of 900+ miles. Any bets on Delta offering service on those shorter flights ever again? Any bets on Delta, or any other legacy airline, ever reducing the price of airfare now? Skip the Delta credit card and instead make a quick stop at Dollar Tree or Walmart on your way to the airport and book your air travel with the airline that offers you the most convenient schedule for a price that is agreeable to you. Airline rewards programs offer very little value to the once-a-year leisure traveler.
