Breakfast in Disney World can be hard to find. When you’re so excited to get to the parks, your first thought might not be to grab something to eat, but trust us, facing rope drop on an empty stomach is tough (and we’ve done it — we don’t recommend it).

If you’re staying at the Swan and Dolphin Resort at Disney World, you might have passed by Java, the coffee bar in the hotel. We’re checking out their breakfasts to see if it’s worth a stop in the morning.
Background
Located in the Swan Resort, this is probably going to be your go-to spot when you need to grab a quick snack, a bottle of water, and breakfast. They have tons of coffees and bottled drinks, and even have other things you might need like Advil and Benadryl.

It’s really a convenient spot to grab your essentials before heading back to your room or into the parks.

Atmosphere
The quick-service restaurant has a counter where you can order, so you can wait in line and be on your way. While we came to talk about breakfast, they also have lunch options. There isn’t seating inside the restaruant so you’ll need to head out to find somewhere in the lobby or tuck it in your backpack to pull out once you’re waiting in line to rope drop.

Food & Drinks
First up, we tried the C3 for $6.50. It’s dark roast coffee and collagen.

We finally found the perfect drink for the dark roast coffee fans! You have the option here to add different syrups and a variety of milk options like oat milk and almond milk, along with sugars and creamers. The coffee was very smooth and didn’t have that burnt coffee flavor that can sometimes come with dark roast. It was a great, strong option.
Then we had The Standard for $12, which has double-cut bacon, farm egg patty, pepper jack cheese, on a toasted croissant roll.

We love a classic! The croissant roll was surprisingly soft, and the bacon and egg felt fresh. The egg was fluffy, similar to the egg in an Egg McMuffin at McDonald’s. The bacon wasn’t too crunchy or burnt, but had a great texture and stayed in the sandwich well. The pepper jack cheese added a small kick, too, which we really enjoyed.

We also couldn’t resist the Mickey Waffles for $7.50, which are covered in cinnamon-powdered sugar with maple syrup.

These are your standard Mickey waffles, but with powdered sugar to make them a little more unique. They were a bit on the dry side, even though it was covered in maple syrup, but we enjoyed the cinnamon flavor on the powdered sugar, and it’s nice to be able to grab this iconic dish when we need it. Kids will likely love these, too.
Magic or Tragic?
Java should be on your list if…
-
- You are staying at the Swan and Dolphin — We wouldn’t go out of our way to venture over here because you can find similar options in almost all Disney World hotels, but if you’re staying here, it’s a great spot for an easy breakfast.
- You’re looking for grab-and-go options — Not ready for a full sit-down breakfast and want to grab something and run to the parks? This has great on-the-go options to take with you to yournext spot.
- You’re a coffee lover — Obviously, a place called Java is going to have pretty great coffee options! There’s a huge selection where you’ll likely be able to find something you love.
You should probably skip if…
-
- You want a sit-down table service breakfast — While grab-and-go options are great, you might want a relaxing breakfast before heading to the chaos of the theme park, and in that case, Java is not the place.
- You’re looking to head straight to the park — Don’t want to stop at all before heading out? While we enjoyed our visit, Java likely won’t be the top restaurant you talk about for years to come, so if you’re running late to get to the parks, it’s totally okay to skip.
- You don’t love coffee — While there are other options like teas, since that’s their main focus, you might find better options for your family outside of Java.
Overall, Java can be a great place to stop if you want to grab a quick coffee and breakfast before starting on your day at Disney World. There’s a wide variety of coffee options and multiple different breakfast sandwiches to try, and it’s a solid choice if you’re staying at the Swan and Dolphin.
In the meantime, make sure you keep following AllEars for more food reviews you need to know before your Disney World trip.
