It’s Finally Ducks Day in Disneyland, and The Crowds Are INTENSE!

Today’s a very special day in Disneyland, but not everyone knows about it. The ones that do, though? They make it a mission to come out in DROVES!

Once a year, the Anaheim Ducks, a team originally founded by The Walt Disney Company in 1993 and named the Mighty Ducks in honor of the iconic film, The Mighty Ducks, take over Disneyland for a celebration. That day is finally here, and we’re in the parks to check it all out!

There’s so much to explore at this event, and parts of Disney California Adventure have even had a bit of a makeover for this special day.

For example, Hollywood Land has now become a “fan zone” where you can grab photos, party with DJs, test your own hockey skills, and special meet and greets with players have taken place throughout the day.

There are also special treats available ONLY today for this exclusive event. Today, you can snag:

• Ducks Day Brownie Cheesecake (Schmoozies!): Cookies and cream cheesecake with a brownie base covered with a dark chocolate shell

• Quacktail Cooler (Hollywood Lounge): Vodka and orange juice slushy with beer foam topping

• Chicken-fried Steak Burrito (Studio Catering Co.): Sautéed vegetables, egg, and country gravy with potato bites

You can also head over to the World of Color viewing area to watch the “Take Fan Flight Rally.” Here, you’ll find Anaheim Ducks DJ JoJo Maestrado and the Power Players.

After the jam session, the Anaheim Ducks players will take the stage for a friendly competition. When it was one hour until Game Time, this is what the crowds already looked like — WILD!

Once it was time for everything to start, the cheerleaders came out and hyped up the crowd before the players took the stage.

We also got to see some of our favorite Disney characters, which is always fun!

Soon, the Anaheim Ducks themselves came out, and we were thoroughly entertained! It was a great show, though a little hot in our jerseys in the hot sun.

The crowds for this event were quite intense, so if you’re planning on attending next year, be sure to grab your spot at least an hour early. We can’t forget about the special merchandise available at this event, too!

This is the only day to grab these items, so you’ll need to act fast!
