You’ve likely seen a LOT of posts out there talking about what essentials you need for Disney World, but we’ll be the first to admit that they can get overwhelming really fast.

Especially when you’ve already spent hundreds, if not thousands, on the vacation itself, and now you’re being told you need to buy MORE things? It’s frustrating, we get it, BUT we’ll also tell you from experience that there are a few essentials that if you don’t buy them ahead of time and then purchase in the park, you’ll end up spending MORE than you originally wanted to. To make things extra simple, these are the three essentials that have NEVER failed us in Disney World, so if you want to start anywhere, start here!
Starting off strong, it rains A LOT in Disney World, especially in the spring and summer months when many people are visiting. Instead of getting soaked, or spending money on a cheap poncho that’s going to rip easily and can’t be used more than once, spend a little bit more up front and grab the Frogg Toggs Poncho.

We have numerous members of our team who use this (myself included!), and it hasn’t let us down. It’s made of a fantastic water-resistant material (so resistant I’ve literally swiped water droplets right off of it), it’s long enough to cover your whole body, and is fairly easy to fold back up and put in its bag to avoid getting anything else wet. If I know it’s likely to rain, I bring it on every trip!
Even when you try not to use your phone in Disney World, it’s going to run out of battery as you take photos and videos, make dining reservations and Lightning Lane selections, or just communicate with the rest of your family and friends. While there are lots of great portable chargers out there, we recommend FuelRods for a few reasons.

For one, they’re small and easy to fit into a pocket or bag, but are also pretty powerful. If you purchase them online, they also come in a two-pack, which is a great deal, and while you can charge them back at your hotel each day, if you end up in a pickle and need a fully charged one ASAP, you can trade them out in Disney World FOR FREE. That’s right, you’ll literally never be without a fully charged FuelRod in the parks, and that peace of mind is invaluable.
Finally, keeping cool in the parks is easier said than done, because you want to balance doing all the things on your list, while also not subjecting yourself to heat stroke. That’s where a portable fan can be very helpful, but how do you choose the right one? We’ll tell you now, the JISULIFE 3 IN 1 Handheld Mini Fan is a solid choice.

This fan not only folds up super small to fit easily into a pocket or bag, but it’s got three different settings to maximize cooling power. It also acts as a flashlight AND a portable charger, which is a huge help when you’re in a jam. We’ve tried out a LOT of fans in the parks, and this is the one we keep going back to.
We’re here to bring you all our latest recommendations to make your trip easier, so be sure to stay tuned to AllEars!
