A Popular Epic Universe Ride Is Closing SOON

It’s been almost a year since Epic Universe first opened at Universal Orlando, and the new theme park has been popular ever since. One of the most popular lands in that theme park is How To Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk.

Fyre Drill in Isle of Berk

Isle of Berk has several attractions, but if you’re visiting Epic Universe soon, one of those attractions may very well be temporarily closed: Fyre Drill.

According to the official Universal Orlando calendar, Fyre Drill will be closed from February 1st through February 7th. Although no reason is given for the closure, such a short closure generally means the ride will be getting some maintenance during that time.

Fyre Drill

Fyre Drill is an interactive boat battle where visitors can blast water cannons at flame-like targets, as well as other visitors in other boats. This is a very popular ride in the hot Florida summer, so it makes sense that a refurbishment is scheduled for February, which is generally a cooler month.

This is one of the first scheduled closures for a ride in Epic Universe, but now that the park is about to turn one year old, it’s likely we’ll see similar temporary closures for other rides in the park. Maintenance is always needed on rides, but most theme parks stagger which rides are closed and when.

We’ll be keeping an eye out for more closures in Epic Universe, as well as the rest of Universal Orlando, so check back with AllEars again soon for more.
