It takes forever to find a spot, and when you finally do, you’ve made a terrifying discovery… your parking spot earns minimum wage. Downtown Orlando’s returning free parking initiative just got even better. The program was first trialed during the pandemic, but was relaunched in 2023 and has remained popular since. The move hopes to increase foot traffic downtown, support local businesses, and help both locals and visitors explore the city.
Park DTO offers free parking in both metered and non-metered spaces 24 hours a day, seven days a week. To activate the offer, download the ParkMobile app from your app store, and type in your parking spot info with the code “ParkDTO” for free two-hour parking. This year, users will get an extra four codes per account than in previous years. That’s right, you can park for free up to 16 times in downtown Orlando!
Downtown Orlando has recently had a surge of economic growth, with 30 new local businesses opening last year. We recommend visiting ICON park where you’ll find the iconic Orlando Eye, where you’ll experience a 20-minute Ferris wheel ride with a breathtaking view of Orlando from 400 feet in the air.
There’s also the Dr. Phillips Center, where you can watch concerts and touring Broadway shows with some amazing restaurants right next door. You can also enjoy dinner shows like Medieval Times and Pirates Adventure Dinner for themed food, epic stunts, and fun performances.
