We’re often trying out lots of different essentials in the Disney World parks to see if they’re REALLY essential for your next trip, or if you can forgo them.

When it comes to carrying around items in the park, we know firsthand how it is when you don’t have all you need, especially if you’re carrying items for the whole family. You likely prefer to have a larger backpack to keep all your essentials in one place, but that also means you’ve got to deal with the weight and your backpack being HEAVY all day. Thankfully, we’ve found an essential that REALLY helps with this, and while it’s a bit on the pricier side, if you’re its target audience, it’ll save you a lot of pain.
For one of our reporters, there’s nothing she hates more than the feeling of sweat on her back during a hot day in the parks. It’s an issue she’s just sort of dealt with, not thinking there was any way around it or fixing it, but now we know that’s not the case. We’d like to introduce you to the VentaPak!

The VentaPak comes in two different sizes to match your backpack and height. The Large VentaPak is best for those that are over 5’6″ and large backpacks, and the Small/Medium size is for those that are 5’4″ and under or have smaller backpacks. Its primary purpose is to keep your backpack from resting right on your back and causing that sweat to form, and WOW does it do a great job at that! It’s made of a breathable mesh design that allows air to flow between your back and the bag, eliminating the sweat that normally forms.

While it is $45 and on the slightly pricey end for an accessory, this is very high quality and it works remarkably well. Our reporter had this on her backpack for months and took it off last week to go to Epic Universe, then forgot to put it back on, and majorly regretted it. Not only does it keep that uncomfortable sweat from forming, but it also works wonders for weight distribution.

Now, the one thing we need to warn you about is that when you have it attached to your bag, you have to tighten your straps so that it works properly. This means you’re probably going to sweat in your armpits because the straps are snug. It also makes the bag a little difficult to get on and off, and our reporter found herself removing the bag as few times as possible throughout the day. If there were a way to attach it without the straps being as tight, we would like that change, but we don’t think there’s a way to do that AND make sure it works properly with that weight distribution at the same time.

Overall, we think this is a necessity for anyone who has back problems, someone who commonly carries around a large backpack with lots of people’s necessities throughout the day, or a person who REALLY dislikes the feeling of sweat on their back (or hates out it looks once they take the backpack off).
We’re in the parks each and every day, often trying out new products to see if they’ll help make your Disney World trip easier. Be sure to stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest Disney trip product suggestions and more!
