A classic Disneyland attraction is about to change!

If you didn’t know, Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion has an annual change to become the Haunted Mansion Holiday! The attraction is taken over by characters from The Nightmare Before Christmas, and it is a huge hit each year. To prepare for this annual haunting, the attraction closes temporarily, and if you aren’t prepared for it, it might throw a wrench in your Disneyland plans.
Disneyland is currently celebrating its 70th Anniversary, and with it comes the new snacks, entertainment, and crowds! In addition to the new celebration, an annual Disneyland tradition is just around the corner.

Beginning on August 9th, 2025, Haunted Mansion will be closed! This closure is to begin the ride’s transformation into the Haunted Mansion Holiday, where you can see characters like Jack Skellington, Sally, Oogie Boogie, and more.

If you’re headed to the original Disney park soon, that might put a bit of a damper on your plans, but no worries. The attraction will reopen as Haunted Mansion Holiday on August 22nd! The attraction will only be closed for a few weeks so hopefully, your trip will fall outside of that time.

If you’re a fan of the original Haunted Mansion, you might be stuck with Jack Skellington for a while. If Disneyland follows the same schedule as it did last year, we won’t see the normal Haunted Mansion until mid-late January. The regular version of the attraction reopened on January 18th, 2024, so that could be almost half the year with Jack.
