5 Big Disney World Updates You Missed This Week

It’s certainly been a busy week.

Cinderella Castle

From long-awaited announcements and new discounts to the Q3 earnings call, there has been a lot going on with Disney World this week. I wouldn’t blame you if you missed some of it. Heck, I’ve been covering Disney’s theme parks for years, and even I have a hard time tracking every single announcement during busy times. However, we have you covered with some of the biggest updates you may have missed recently.

Record Revenue

Let’s begin with Disney’s Q3 earnings call. Disney’s Experiences division, which covers the Disney Cruise Line, merchandise, and the company’s theme parks, had a revenue was $9,806,000 in Q3 2025, up from $8,386,000 in Q3 2024.

Another Loss to Dollywood

Despite those record revenues, Disney lost out on an important industry award. Each year, TripAdvisor publishes a ranking based on U.S. theme parks that “receive a high volume of above-and-beyond reviews and opinions from the TripAdvisor community over a 12-month period. Out of our 8 million listings, fewer than 1% achieve this milestone.”

Dollywood

For the second year in a row, Disney World’s Magic Kingdom came in second place behind the pride of Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, Dollywood.

Beak & Barrel Opening!

After months of anticipation, Disney finally announced an opening date for the highly anticipated Pirates of the Caribbean-themed lounge! The Beak & Barrel will be opening at the Magic Kingdom on August 29th, with reservations opening August 14th.

eet is Accepting Advanced Dining Reservations.

Speaking of Disney restaurants, eet by Maneet Chauhan at Disney Springs is now offering advance dining reservations (ADR). These ADR’s are for the solarium section of the dining area, which is separate from the main dining area. Said main dining area will still offer seating for those who walk in without a reservation. For now, guests with reservations will still need to order from the counter, but will then have guaranteed seating in the solarium area.
