Have you ever heard of a little underground artist by the name of Danny Elfman? We’re totally kidding, he’s not underground at all. In fact, some would argue he’s up there with John Williams, Hans Zimmer, and others as one of the greatest composers of all time — and we’d agree with that! Well, he’s involved with this NEW Epic Universe souvenir, and it has to do with Dark Universe.
Danny Elfman has composed some of the most beloved movie soundtracks ever — the original Batman theme, the theme for Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man, Beetlejuice, Nightmare Before Christmas, Edward Scissorhands, live-action Alice in Wonderland, and more! Now he’s adding a NEW score to his list of work, and this one is involving the brand-new theme park
That’s right, Danny Elfman has been working on a score for Dark Universe, and it’s going to be available for you as a vinyl! The vinyl is only available to be bought at the park — making it an Epic Universe exclusive souvenir. Danny Elfman took to Instagram to show us, and it truly sounds EPIC, DARK, and TWISTED.
The soundtrack is a perfect representation of Darkmoor Village! A home to creepy, twisted, and thrilling attractions and experiences — a world full of monsters. The world has several meet-and-greets, where you will come face to face with characters like the Bride of Frankenstein, Victoria Frankenstein’s servant, Ygor, and The Invisible Man!
In Dark Universe, you can experience two thrilling rides. One of them, Curse of the Werewolf, is a spinning family-friendly coaster themed after the Wolf Man. However, the experience everyone is running to the land for is Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment — the jaw-dropping E-Ticket ride featuring thrills, motion, and insane animatronics. Truly a MUST-DO at Epic!

Dark universe has a very long way to go before it can be good. Especially the merchandise. This was my #2 most hated area. For an area that’s supposed to be dark, it’s very bright. All of the merchandise was subpar. None of it had singled out chrs, take the cups/mugs you can’t find a single Frankenstein, or Dracula only item. No characters walking around or in staged areas like isle of berk. It’s poorly build, & designed area.
