4 Disneyland Restaurants We Avoid at ALL COSTS

Let’s be honest, not every Disneyland Resort restaurant is “good.”

Tiana’s Palace

Quality varies depending on the food offered, the price, and what your personal dining preferences are. But there are a few Disneyland Resort restaurants that we generally try to avoid.

Blue Bayou

Starting out this list, we have Blue Bayou Restaurant. While this dining location has a stunning atmosphere in New Orleans Square with a view of Pirates of the Caribbean, it can also be considered a bit overrated.

The menu is pretty pricey for the quality of the food, and if you end up with a less-than-desirable table location, you don’t really get to enjoy the atmosphere. Instead, we’re more inclined to recommend Cafe Orleans nearby.

Alien Pizza Planet

If you’re looking for super basic theme park pizza, then look no further than Alien Pizza Planet. We love the idea of a Toy Story themed restaurant, but the execution here is pretty lacking.

Alien Pizza Planet

The pizza is fairly basic and bland, and it’s really just one of those larger quick service spots meant to please the picky masses. It’s not the most terrible restaurant we’ve visited, but there’s nothing delicious or intriguing enough to make us want to go back again and again.

Galactic Grill

Speaking of disappointment in Tomorrowland, allow us to mention Galactic Grill. This place is SUPER hit or miss when it comes to food — sometimes the seasonal offerings here can be pretty delicious, but the regular lunch and dinner menus are fairly meh.

Galactic Grill

The one place where Galactic Grill tends to shine is with its breakfast offerings. So if you’re walking by first thing in the morning, you may want to give it a try. Otherwise? Keep on trucking.

River Belle Terrace

Last but not least, we’ve got to mention River Belle Terrace. This spot is pretty regularly hated on by Disneyland fans and locals alike. It has a fairly limited menu, and many have criticized it recently for food quality and occasionally, poor service.

You’re probably not going to choose this as a must-try spot unless there’s just something on the menu that REALLY appeals to you.

Honestly, this list was a challenge to make because most of the food at Disneyland Resort is pretty darn good. In fact, we’ve sometimes found it to be BETTER than Disney World food — what do you think?

  1. I agree, it’s a hard list to make because the food is decent at worst. In reality, I can’t even get a Bue Bayou reservation anymore. Any suggestions out there anyone?

My own personal number one worst sit down dining in Disneyland Park would be Café Orleans. Since the pandemic it’s really gone downward here. Can’t order a side of fries anymore, and the Monte Cristo sandwich is no resemblance of what it used to be.

A sit down dining option here probably wouldn’t be my go to. I’d head out of this park and go over to California adventure where there’s better options and then of course Downtown Disney has some fantastic options and easy to snag a table.
