This 30-Second Hack Can Save You SO Much Time on a Travel Day

Heading to the airport soon? There are SO many hacks that people share for making your travels easier.

From efficient ways to pack your suitcase to tips for making it through security in a timely manner, we’ve seen all kinds of hacks over the years, and we’ve tried a ton of them. But today, we’re sharing one that’s SO helpful for keeping track of your flight information!

Business Insider shared an iPhone flight hack where you text yourself your flight number, and we just had to try it out to see how it works. Spoiler, it’s incredibly useful!

To start, you’ll first text yourself your flight number. This hack also works if you text the flight number to someone else. When the message appears, it should feature a clickable link.

When you select the link, it’ll give you the option to preview your flight or copy the flight code. Here, you’ll select “Preview Flight.”

From there, you’ll be led to a screen with full details on your flight! It shows the departure and arrival airports, the terminals, and the gate numbers, as well as your travel date and time. The info even shows your flight’s current status and your baggage claim location — how neat is that?!

You can also zoom in on the map section of the flight details page to get a closer look at your flight path and airport location. Very helpful if you’re in need of directions.

This is a great hack if you’re sending someone your flight info so they can pick you up from the airport, or if you want to keep track of your flight without using the airline apps.
