I Just Found Out There’s a LEGO PARADE on This Brand New Cruise Ship, and I’m Booking Right Now

There’s going to be an actual LEGO parade at sea — and that’s not a drill.

MSC Cruises announced that their newest ship, MSC World America, will feature the very first LEGO-themed parade on a cruise ship. Not only that, but this ship is shaping up to be a dream vacation for LEGO-loving families (and let’s be honest, adult LEGO fans too). From game shows to build zones, the LEGO experiences are next-level — and the second we heard the word “parade,” we were sold. Let’s talk about it.

MSC World America sets sail in April 2025, and if you’ve been looking for a family cruise that isn’t the same recycled version of kids’ clubs and pool time, this might be the one to beat. The ship will feature seven themed “districts,” but the real action for families is going down in Family Aventura — aka where the LEGO magic happens.

The biggest news is that this ship will host the first-ever LEGO parade at sea. We’re talking full-on LEGO walk around characters making their way through the ship in a dedicated parade once per cruise. It kicks off in Family Aventura and winds its way down to the World Promenade. Whether your kid is five or you’re just an adult who still dreams about your old LEGO pirate ship set, this sounds ridiculously fun.

And it’s not a one-hit wonder. This whole ship is basically a LEGO theme park that floats.

There’s a brand new LEGO Family Zone onboard — think of it as a creative playground where parents and kids can build side by side. You’ll find everything from classic bricks to master builder challenges, and it’s open morning through night. The best part? It’s not just for kids. They’ve made it super interactive for the whole fam, so no one’s stuck on the sidelines holding juice boxes and jackets.

Oh, and get this — they’re also debuting a LEGO Family Game Show. Each cruise, families will team up and compete in fast-paced, brick-building challenges. We’re talking timers, colorful LEGO builds, twists, turns, and a whole lot of competitive fun. It’s giving “Double Dare” vibes but make it LEGO. If you’ve got a family who likes game nights or you just love an audience cheering you on while you build a tiny dragon in record time, this is your moment.

Here’s the thing — MSC Cruises is a family-owned company, and they’re clearly doubling down on turning family cruising into something way beyond the norm. We’ve seen ships with waterslides, kids’ clubs, and splash zones, but this is the first time a cruise ship is leaning into something like a LEGO parade and making it the headline. And honestly? It’s working.

Between the LEGO walk arounds, game shows, build zones, and the sheer size of the kids’ area, this feels like a major level-up. It’s not just about having a space to drop your kids while you sip a frozen drink. It’s about creating shared experiences families can actually get excited about. If your kids (or you) are obsessed with LEGO, this is going to be hard to beat.
