NEWS: LEGOLAND Announces 'Groundbreaking' New Roller Coaster

A lot of exciting things are happening at Disney World and Disneyland — with new rides and expansions on the way. A lot of exciting things are also happening at Universal Orlando with the grand opening of Epic Universe coming up SOON.

Well, not to be left out, LEGOLAND just announced its biggest expansion EVER, as well as the addition of a brand new roller coaster that will be a “first-of-its-kind.”

Merlin Entertainment has announced that it’s investing around $90 million to expand both LEGOLAND Florida and LEGOLAND California. That expansion will include a brand new “groundbreaking” indoor roller coaster at both parks. The new coaster “combines the creative world of LEGO building with an exhilarating ride and storyline that only LEGOLAND Parks can deliver for families with children ages 2 to 12.”

LEGOLAND even shared a photo of construction on the new coaster in Florida.

“While the details remain under wraps, one thing is clear,” said LEGOLAND Florida Resort President Franceen Gonzales. “This new ride will take our guests on an unprecedented adventure, setting a new standard for fun and imagination.”

“This isn’t just a ride, it’ll be an exploration unlike any other,” said LEGOLAND California Resort President Kurt Stocks. “As the first rollercoaster to be built in 20 years at LEGOLAND California, we’re sparing no expense to deliver the most innovative, interactive and captivating experience possible.”
