We got a behind-the-scenes look at SEA LIFE Florida at LEGOLAND Florida Resort, and we’re obsessed.

SEA LIFE Florida opens May 23rd and is a family-friendly aquarium with amazing features like a Seahorse Nursery and an Ocean Tunnel with views of the deep blue sea (and the amazing creatures who live there!).
We were able to tour SEA LIFE Florida before it officially opens to the public and got some SWEET insider details on what’s to come. To say we had a BLAST would be an understatement.

There are many exhibits and chances to get up-close with marine life. In fact, there will be ten immersive galleries with 25 interactive exhibits. As you can see, it’s a work in progress at the moment.

Exhibits include a Freshwater Swamp, Coral Reef, Stingray Bay, Key West Area, and so much more. There’s also a Jelly Invaders area where you can change the color of the elements in the tank to make it look like you changed the color of the jellyfish. Blackbeard’s Shipwreck is home to an octopus, and Color Caves have creatures that glow in the dark. Yes, really!

The Ocean Tank is home to three blacktip reef sharks, including one who came all the way from Germany. For all you sealife enthusiasts, the Rock Pool is a touch pool where you can interact with species not local to Florida.

We need to talk about the Ocean Tank; it is a large tank with a whole theme park inside! The idea came from the thought, “What would fish do if they came to Florida?” and that means doing exactly what we love — going to theme parks. There’s a haunted house, rollercoaster, Ferris wheel, hotel, and food stand. We were also told, “The fish find our guests just as enriching as you find them,” which we love!

This aquarium sounds SO engaging and interactive. There is so much more to do than just watch. You really get to learn about the animals up close.

There’s a LOT happening at LEGOLAND, including the LEGO Festival, which is coming to all seven LEGOLAND Resorts and will run on select dates from May 3rd to June 11th. This brand-new event will feature 49 all-new LEGO builds and five interactive zones.

The LEGOLAND Hotel is also getting new themed rooms, including a DUPLO room with animals meant for younger builders, NINJAGO, and LEGO Friends. They have other rooms like knights and princess rooms, THE LEGO MOVIE rooms, and pirate themes rooms.

We were even told something secret was happening at the back of the resort, and we were told, “SEA LIFE is just the beginning.” OOH!

We are so excited about everything happening at LEGOLAND and can’t wait to go back and explore more. Keep following AllEars for more updates!
