Disney Adults are Afraid this Popular Muppets Character is About to be BANNED

Muppet fans, how are we feeling? I know it’s been a whirlwind since the announcement of the future of the Muppets at Hollywood Studios.

During last summer’s D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, we learned that a new project will take over this area. A newly themed Monster’s Inc. land is on the way, and Disney confirmed there will be a new roller coaster! While we are thankful that the Muppets are moving, not being totally replaced, there is a certain one we are worried about!

Disney has reported that Muppet*Vision 3D will welcome its last visitors and close its doors for the final time on June 7th, 2025. This is certainly an announcement that has a bittersweet sting to it as we will miss our Muppet friends until they return (in a new way) at the re-themed Rock ‘n’ Rollercoaster ride. But we couldn’t help but notice that one key Muppet, who has held prime real estate at the park, is missing from the concept art!

Our favorite rat, Rizzo! You know, the owner of PizzeRizzo? This quick-service restaurant is nestled right inside of Muppets Courtyard and it will be closing its doors on June 7th. So with the restaurant closing where does that leave him?

While he isn’t found in the concept art and he will no longer have a restaurant at Hollywood Studios, we are hopeful he might make an appearance on the newly rethemed ride.

We just throwing it out there that Imagineers can simply just put him somewhere in the queue or maybe even make him a part of a preshow video. We aren’t ready to say goodbye to a rat that has given us laughs and puffy pizza over the years.
