NEWS: AMC Announces New Price Increase for AMC Stubs A-List Members

Heads up, moviegoers — if you’re a big fan of going to the theater to see the latest movies each month, it’s likely you may have an AMC Stubs A-List account.

AMC Stubs is a great way to save money if you’re a prominent moviegoer because instead of paying around $15 each time you want to see a movie, you’ll pay a flat fee that quickly pays for itself if you see more than two movies a month. However, if you’re an A-List member, you need to know that the cost of your membership is increasing.

AMC has just announced that starting May 7th, 2025, some changes will be hitting the AMC Stubs A-List. One of the most notable changes is the price tag! With the changes incoming, the cost of the service will now change to the following for the different A-List Memberships:

  • $27.99/month plus tax: All theaters in the US
  • $25.99/month plus tax: All theaters except those in CA and NY
  • $23.99/month plus tax: All theaters except those in CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IL, MA, MD, MN, NJ, NY, OR, VA, and WA
  • $19.99/month plus tax: All theaters except those in AZ, CA, CO, CT, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, LA, MA, MD, MN, NC, ND, NJ, NV, NY, OH, OK, OR, PA, TN, TX, VA, and WA
  • $14.99/month plus tax: AMC Classic Plan

Previously, the monthly plan cost $24.95 for access to all AMC theaters in the country and $22.95 for every AMC location other than those in California, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Massachusetts.

However, this price increase comes with some added benefits, too! For one, AMC is lowering the age of guests who can become an AMC Stubs A-List member — previously, the minimum age was 16, but starting May 7th, teenagers as young as 13 can become a member.

AMC Stubs A-List reservations will also increase to up to FOUR movies per week! Yes, that means you can see a total of 16 (!!!) movies in one month without paying anything extra. Based on current movie prices, instead of paying around $15 a ticket, which would equal about $240 to see 16 movies, you’ll instead be paying a maximum of $27.99.

However, it is important to keep in mind that the AMC Classic Plan, the cheapest plan available, does not have the same perks, and you may only reserve your spot to see one movie every week.

There are so many great movies coming out this year, so if you’ve been thinking of becoming an AMC Stubs A-List member so you can see them all without breaking the bank, now might be the time to become a member! As always, stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest Disney media news.
