If you’re visiting Disneyland this November head’s up.
Refurbishments and closures are a fact of life when it comes to visiting Disney’s theme parks, even the “Happiest Place on Earth.” Even during the jam-packed holiday season, when Disney strives to keep almost everything online, there are some closures that are unavoidable.
These are all of the Disneyland Resort’s scheduled closures for November 2024:
“It’s a small world”
The iconic boat ride, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, will be closed for the first half of the month as part of a refurbishment and transition to its long-running “it’s a small world holiday” overlay. The seasonal version of the attraction is scheduled to reopen on November 15th and operate for the duration of the Holiday season. The ride will then close again on January 21st for a second refurbishment that will extend into the spring.
Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln
“It’s a small world” ’s 1964 World’s Fair compatriot Great Moments with Lincoln will also be closed to start the month. However, the animatronic show starring the 16th President won’t be returning anytime soon. In 2025, a new show – – Walt Disney – A Magical Life — will debut at the Main Street Opera House, featuring an animatronic Walt Disney. The show will eventually “play in rotation” with Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
While Disneyland’s version of Big Thunder won’t be down for as long as its Walt Disney World counterpart will miss in 2025, the popular coaster will be down from November 18th through at least mid-December.
Dumbo the Flying Elephant
Disneyland’s iconic Dumbo attraction isn’t going down for long, but it will be closed on November 19th for one day, or at least it’s only scheduled for a day as of now.
Ariel’s Undersea Adventure
Finally, doing over to California Adventure, the Little Mermaid-themed Ariel’s Undersea Adventure dark ride is scheduled to be down for refurbishment from November 4th through the 22nd.
While these are the Disneyland resort’s scheduled closures for November of 2024, always keep in mind that unscheduled closures can happen. Stay tuned to AllEars for all the latest on the resort’s ride calendar.
