According to Emma, short shorts are NOT recommended for a day in Disney World. In fact, she believes that any outfit with shorts that don’t cover her thighs is a BIG no-no. No one enjoys chafing, right?!
If you’re planning to wear an athletic dress to Disney World, look for one with longer slip shorts! We loved this mini romper dress from Amazon.
Oh, and here’s a pro-tip: if the built-in shorts are too short, you can always put on separate pair for added coverage. Moral of the story? The best way to combat chafing is to avoid short shorts!
Think you can handle boots in Disney World? You might think, “Oh, the heel isn’t that high. I can do it.” No. You can’t. Trust us.
As cute as they may be, it’s better to skip the boots on vacation. We love athletic sandals since they’re easy to dress up or down.

Speaking of fashionable items that just aren’t practical for a seven-hour park day in Disney World, we have to talk about accessories. Sure, Minnie ears and sheer layering tops are cute, but they can really start to irritate your body after a while.
If you want to bring these kinds of stylish items to Disney World, we recommend bringing a park bag that’s big enough to hold those Minnie ears or long-sleeve tops after you get itchy or uncomfortable. Take those photos and change, people!
