Boo to you! We’re deep into spooky season now…or so we thought!
Whether you’ve been to the mall recently and saw Macy’s already decked out with Christmas trees or you’ve been shopping red and green merchandise online, it’s already time to start preparing for the winter holidays. Every year, we see the internet freak out about holiday decorations going up in the parks early and we see both sides. But there’s one park that starts decorating VERY early each year…almost TOO early…
That would be good ole’ Disneyland Park! Walt’s original park tends to decorate EXTRA early and it throws parkgoers off every year. Yes, each year in mid-October, we’ll see the first sign of winter — snow on Sleeping Beauty Castle!
It’s actually quite funny to see pumpkins and fall decor lining the entrance to the park and Main Street, U.S.A….and then BAM! Snow!
Before we know it, we’ll see the rest of the park match. Luckily, Disneyland typically waits until after Halloween to remove the Main Street fall decor. However, we did see touches of holiday decor in Toontown before Halloween last year so we’ll just have to wait and see.
The holidays officially kick off in the parks on November 15th, 2024 and there is a lot in store this year! Not only will the Festival of Holidays kick off in Disney California Adventure, but you can meet characters in their new outfits, complete the new Disney Ornament Trail, and more.
Also, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will officially open on November 15th! Be sure to stop by and welcome the new ride to Disneyland if you’re making a trip this winter.
Stay tuned to AllEars for more Disneyland updates.
