NEW Low-Pressure System Being Monitored by National Hurricane Center

Yes, we’re still in the middle of hurricane season for Florida, and with that can come some more unpredictable weather patterns.

Florida has been through it already this season with two major hurricanes, Helene and Milton. While, thankfully, Disney World only sustained minor damage from the storms and a short closure to ensure visitor and Cast Member safety, there are still thousands across the state continuing to sift through the aftermath. Now, a new potential storm has garnered attention from the NHC, and here’s what we know about it so far.

Now, storm trackers have started watching another area of interest closely. The National Hurricane Center (NHC) shared a look on X (previously Twitter) of AL94. This new area of interest is made of a low-pressure system looming over the central tropical Atlantic.

Right now, this has resulted in disorganized showers and thunderstorms. The National Hurricane Center is keeping a keen eye over this system and expects it to become a tropical depression later this week as it moves closer to the northern Leeward Islands.

Should this low pressure system develop further, NHC is prepared to refer to it as Tropical Storm Nadine (however, that’s not its standing just yet). We’ll just have to keep an eye out for updates on this in the coming days.

Rainy day at Disney World

It’s still a bit early to tell what this area of low pressure will do for certain or which direction it will truly head. However, it’s certainly something to be watching for as Florida continues clean up and recovery efforts all over the state from the two major hurricanes that have passed within the last few weeks.

If you’re going to be visiting Disney World in the next few weeks we’d recommend you make sure to pack your rainy weather gear along for the ride! And, be sure to stay tuned with us at AllEars as we keep you updated on the latest.
