While we still have a ways to go before we can experience Epic Universe, we are getting lots of sneak peeks from Universal Orlando about what to expect in the brand-new theme park.

Epic Universe is scheduled to open in 2025 and will include four unique lands, new rides, new hotels and so much more. Universal has released information about all the lands coming to the new theme park, and now we just got some more information about one of the rides coming to the Celestial Park entrance area.
Celestial Park is the “world between worlds, where everything begins and ends.” It is in Celestial Park where you will find the portals to all the immersive areas of Epic Universe. Inside of Celestial Park, you will also find a brand-new roller coaster called Stardust Racers.

In an Orlando Sentinel article, Jeff Polk, executive vice president at Universal Orlando and Epic’s general manager had this to say about Stardust Racers: “You’ll be on two coasters, side by side, racing with your friends. There will be a winner, of course, but I can also tell you that this is one of the things I’m most excited about experiencing at night. There’s no lighting actually on the track. There’s lighting on the coaster itself, and it will look like shooting meteors cutting across the sky.”

This roller coaster coming to the Celestial Park area of Epic Universe was initially announced with a name of Starfall Racers, but it has since been changed to Stardust Racers.

Stardust Racers is a dual-launch coaster that will reach speeds up to 62 miles per hour. There will be inverted crisscrosses and a “dazzling display of blazing colors and ethereal music.” Rider will need to be at least 48 inches in order to experience this attraction.

This roller coaster is hoping to make you feel like you are on a comet racing through the stars. We have seen some concept art for this new roller coaster, as well as aerial shots of the construction progress, but now we are getting a close-up look at the ride vehicles for the first time.

There will be no external track lighting on Stardust Racers, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be any light on the attraction. The ride vehicles are going to be covered in lights and will light up the sky as they race around the track.

We got a glimpse of the vehicle and it has a large bright light on the front. We also got a look at some of the details including star details that light up on the vehicle.

We also got a look at what may be the back of the vehicle. There will definitely be a wide variety of lights coming from the ride vehicle. These sneak peeks at the vehicle were from a promo for a video that will be dropping on August 16th, 2024, so we will definitely be keeping an eye out for even more details.

This first-look at the ride vehicle for Stardust Racers has confirmed that the best time to ride Stardust Racers is definitely going to be at night! We think this coaster will be an amazing experience as you are flying through the darkness while on board your comet. Plus, we also think this attraction will be gorgeous to look at during the night.
This is just one of the many new attractions that will be coming to Epic Universe in 2025, and we are so excited to learn even more about this new theme park.
