Today is a BIG day at Disneyland Resort!

Back in January 2024, the Haunted Mansion closed for an extended refurbishment in Disneyland Park. However, after much anticipation, Haunted Mansion has officially reopened!
The best part? Not only did Haunted Mansion reopen today, but it also reopened with the Holiday overlay! That’s right, all The Nightmare Before Christmas decor is up. We are getting in the spooky mood for sure.

Currently, Haunted Mansion is utilizing a virtual queue to be able to ride. Guests are able to try for the virtual queue at 7AM if they have a reservation for Disneyland Park, or at 12PM if they have already scanned into Disneyland Park or Disney California Adventure (must have the Park Hopper option). The only way to ride the attraction is the virtual queue, no standby line is being offered.

The virtual queue is being utilized because they are still doing construction in the area, both on the queue and on the new retail shop. Disneyland hasn’t made an official announcement regarding how long the virtual queue will remain in place.

We opted to try for the queue at 12PM and got a virtual queue! Now we patiently wait to be called back so we can experience the attraction.

The process is similar to joining any other virtual queue. Log-in to the Disneyland app and navigate to the Virtual Queues section. You will be able to see Haunted Mansion listed under Disneyland Park. Or, you can also navigate to the attraction to access the virtual queue.

We are still eagerly waiting for our chance to ride. Initially we had a call-back time of around 2PM PT, but it seems like there may have been some delays in operation as our call-back time is now closer to 4PM PT. Even with the delays, we can’t wait to see what is in store for us inside! Disney shared a sneak peek of the Gingerbread creation at the center of Haunted Mansion Holiday earlier today and we think it is amazing.

While the ride itself has re-opened, Disneyland is still working on an expanded outdoor queue that is going to include gardens, a greenhouse, and more. As well, a new retail shop next to the ride exit.Â

Stay tuned as we bring you ALL the details inside of the newly reopened Haunted Mansion Holiday. There is SO much to do while you are at Disneyland Resort, and to help make the options a little less overwhelming, make sure you check out our video covering the 20 must-do things at Disneyland:
