Harry Potter is one of the biggest book and movie franchises of ALL time. Not only are there exhibits around the world featuring props, costumes, and sets, but you can actually step into the stories via the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal theme parks. Now, we have a BIG update for Harry Potter fans — mark your calendars for September 1st!

On September 1st, AKA the day that Hogwarts students take the Hogwarts Express to school, fans typically gather at the Kings Cross Station or hold special events. This year, Warner Bros. is stressing there will be no event held by them and that fans should celebrate differently, according to Variety.

Warner Bros., the studio that brought the books to life on screen, just announced that on September 1st, fans can tune into the official Harry Potter YouTube channel. At 5:30AM ET/10:30AM BST, the channel will host its annual showcase of news to celebrate Back to Hogwarts, which could mean some exciting updates!

It’s unclear what kind of updates we could get on the Wizarding World at the Universal theme parks. We are still waiting on information about the Harry Potter-themed land coming to Epic Universe (which is set to open in 2025). Maybe that’s when Universal will make those announcements, we’ll just have to wait and see!

Want to celebrate even more? In New York City, you can find a pop up in Vanderbilt Hall at Grand Central Terminal between August 30th and September 1st. It will feature different activities including a ticketed countdown on the last day.

The eight movies are also set to return to theaters for a limited time between now and September 1st. Check your local movie theater for listings.
