Sure, you know about the Disney World hotels and Disney Springs, but did you know there’s another spot you can visit for entertainment, dining, and shopping without a park ticket?

Disney’s BoardWalk is home to restaurants, shops, and even night clubs, and while it’s technically attached to a hotel, you don’t need to be staying there to visit. But, if you’re heading there soon, we’ve got a word of warning for you!
We were taking a stroll on Disney’s BoardWalk recently when we noticed some maintenance being done on the actual boardwalk! It looks like some boards weren’t quite up to Disney’s standards and are being replaced.

Luckily, this seems to be a relatively minor construction project that won’t have a huge impact on your next visit, but it’s possible you could run into more boards being replaced when you’re at the BoardWalk next. It’s definitely something to keep in mind.

And, speaking of construction at the BoardWalk, things are (slowly but surely) coming along over at the Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers. This restaurant was originally supposed to open in 2023, and then the timeline was pushed to “early 2024.” It doesn’t look like that’s going to happen, though!

Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs should also be opening sometime soon, and luckily this spot looks like it’s a bit more ready than Cake Bake Shop. We’re keeping an eye out for news on an official opening date for this spot, so make sure you stay tuned!

Have you ever stayed at the BoardWalk Inn? Tell us in the comments.
We stayed at the boardwalk last year. They were fixing some of the boards but only in the morning when we were going to the parks. You could easily walk around them and they were disney like, cordial when you were near them. The hotel is very nice and we plan on staying there again on our next visit.
