It may seem like it’s always crowded at Disney World, but the crowd levels DO fluctuate.
There’s often a lull in the crowds between Spring Break and mid-May, when schools start letting out for the summer. But this week, there are some things happening at Disney World that could bring the crowds back — so let’s talk about it.
The ESPN Wide World of Sports complex in Disney World is a popular place to hold youth sports competitions. It allows families to turn the trip to the competition into a family vacation, as well.
Coming up this week, there are three cheerleading and dance competitions that will bring teams from all over the country:
- 2024 ICU Junior World & World Cheerleading Championships — April 24th-26th
- The Cheerleading Worlds — April 26th-29th
- The Dance Worlds — April 26th-29th
So, during this week, you can expect to see these teams enjoying the Disney World parks when they aren’t competing or practicing.
And while the cheerleaders will be competing at Wide World of Sports, the dance competitions will be held at the Coronado Springs Resort. That means you might also see more crowds if you are staying there.
