That show is X-Men ’97, and it’s set to take Marvel fans all the way back to the 1990s, as the band of mutants known as The X-Men face a world that hates and fears them but also a world they must protect no matter what. The animated series is set to premiere later this month, but the producer and creator of that series has suddenly been fired.

According to VarietyX-Men ’97  creator and executive producer Beau DeMayo has been fired from the project. DeMayo had already finished work on the first two seasons of X-Men ’97 before his firing. The show is set to premiere on Disney+ on March 20th. It has also been confirmed that he will not attend the March 13th Hollywood premiere for the series. His Instagram account has also been deleted.
