Happy Super Bowl Sunday to all who celebrate!
Disney, specifically Bob Iger, CEO of Disney, has mentioned that focusing on growing ESPN is a priority of his, and we’ve seen the company attempt to branch out and reach kids by taking football and placing it in the world of Toy Story. But now, Nickelodeon is taking the Super Bowl to Bikini Bottom!
That’s right — Super Bowl fans can choose to watch the game on Nickelodeon on February 11th at 6:30pm EST. The game will be LIVE with commentary from SpongeBob and Patrick, but you’ll be watching the same teams play at the same time, just with a lot more SpongeBob fun.
This includes slimy stunts, silly player facts, easter eggs, and so much more. The broadcast is made for the whole family, whether you’re 2 or 102, and if you or your kiddos love to play Roblox, be sure to check out the SpongeBob Simulator for a special multi-game, Super Bowl-themed challenge.
Anyone with access to the Nickelodeon channel can watch the game live in Bikini Bottom, and we’re sure it’s going to be a VERY fun time. If you liked the Toy Story football game on Disney+ back in 2023, you will LOVE this SpongeBob twist!
