Due to the writer and actor strikes that happened in 2023, we saw quite a few delays in the media industry.
TV show and movie production was halted indefinitely in many cases as creatives battled for better contracts. One of the movies that faced delays. during that time was the highly-anticipated Deadpool 3, but now we have an update!
Deadline reports that Deadpool 3 has officially wrapped filming. The movie’s leading actor, Ryan Reynolds, posted the announcement. “The suit hides blood. Also sweat… But today, with Deadpool wrapping, it’s mostly tears. A giant and forever thanks to the cast and crew of our film who battled wind, rain, strikes and @thehughjackman… all under the stalwart leadership of @slevydirect” wrote Reynolds.
The film will hit theaters on July 26th after pushing back its release date from May 2024. Other major films that had production delays during the strikes included Warner Bros’ Beetlejuice 2, Paramount’s Gladiator 2, Sony’s Venom 3, and Warner Bros’ Juror No. 2.
