There’s supposedly a new land inspired by the series coming to Universal’s new park, Epic Universe (but it’s not confirmed just yet). We also know there’s a live-action remake on the way, and we have some BIG news about it!

The Hollywood Reporter has reported that Gerard Butler will “reprise the father role of Stoick the Vast” in this new remake. Yes, the Gerard Butler you know and love from epic hits such as 300, Olympus Has Fallen, and The Ugly Truth!

The film is being directed by the original co-director of the films, Dean DeBlois. We also know that The Black Phone‘s Mason Thames and The Last of UsNico Parker are starring in the project as Hiccup and Astrid respectively. In our opinion, the original animated films were fantastic, so this gives us a lot of hope that we’re in for a treat!
