BEWARE: December 19th Is a CRITICAL Date in Disney World

We have to warn you about an upcoming day at Disney World.

Cinderella Castle

December is a notoriously busy month at Disney World. The holidays are a favorite time of year for many people to visit the Most Magical Place on Earth (and we get it, it’s GORGEOUS). There are so many wonderful festivities to partake in like Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, Jollywood Nights, and EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays. While many days in December are crowded, there’s one day in particular that you’ll want to be aware of (and surprisingly, it’s NOT Christmas Day).

OK, yes, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day are ALL very busy days (if not the busiest of the year). But there’s another unassuming day that many people might not even realize will be very crowded in Disney World.

Christmas in Magic Kingdom

December 19th. This year December 19th falls on a Tuesday. It’s a day that you may not think twice about. But MOST of the Disney World Annual Passholders have this date marked on their calendars, circled in bright red. That’s because that’s the last day the majority of Annual Passholders can visit the parks before they get BLOCKED OUT from Disney for the holiday season!

Even Gertie is ready to celebrate the holidays!

We expect almost EVERYONE who has an Annual Pass to be in the parks on December 19th (and even the days leading up to it). If they want to participate in all the fun holiday events, they’ve only got a few more days to do so. You may expect the major holiday dates to be crowded, but now you know there’s another day that you may find yourself standing in long lines for rides, food, and even the bathrooms!

EPCOT

We hope this helps you manage your expectations in the upcoming week! It will be a fun week of celebration as we get closer and closer to Christmas. But be ready for the crowds.
