What happens when you combine our love of McDonald’s with our love of Disney? You create a monster. OK, that’s an exaggeration, but the AllEars team has been pretty passionate about the ongoing Disney100 Happy Meal toy promotion.

McDonald’s released 50+ NEW Disney-themed Happy Meal toys, and we may have a slight obsession with collecting them all. We’ve been buying a lot of Happy Meals lately, so we’ve learned a thing or two about how to build a collection of Disney100 Happy Meal toys. Let’s talk about it!
If you want to collect all 62 Happy Meal toys, there are a few things you can do between now and when the promotion ends on December 4th. First, click HERE for a full list of characters you can collect. Now, let’s talk strategy.

1. Shop Around
If you want to collect allllll the Happy Meal toys (or as many as possible), one of the biggest tips we can pass along is to try several different McDonald’s locations.

In our experience, different stores have different selections of toys. If you end up with duplicates from one McDonald’s store, it might be worth a visit to a different spot. Availability seems to change from place to place!
Talk to an Employee
Some McDonald’s stores don’t actually require you to buy a Happy Meal to get the Happy Meal toys. We’ve been able to purchase the Happy Meal toys separately!

Now, the AllEars team is made up of people from all over the place, and the price per toy seems to vary by region. Some McDonald’s stores will even let you buy ALL the toys at once! The best thing to do is talk to a McDonald’s employee and see what they can do for you.
Crack the code!
OK, this is where things get interesting. If you look at the bottom of the box that your Happy Meal toys come in, you’ll see a small number. That number corresponds to the pair of characters in the box!

For example, Ariel and Chewbacca always come as a set, and Mickey and Captain Marvel go together. If you pay attention to the number on the bottom of the box, you can keep track of which boxes you need and which you already have before you even open your toys!

We hope these little tips help you collect more Happy Meal toys! It’s not easy, but it is pretty fun to see which characters we get each time. In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest snack news, so stay tuned for more.
