Day in and day out, changes are made in the Disney Parks — big and small!
While we have to admit that most of these changes are super exciting (like new merchandise and new snacks), there are occasional changes that are…. less than magical but just part of showbiz. The culprit in question today? PRICE INCREASES.
Yep, you can probably already tell where we’re going with this. Disneyland and Disney California Adventure tickets have undergone a PRICE INCREASE, as of Wednesday, October 11th.
The local visitors who don’t have Magic Key Passes might be thrown off guard by this price increase. If you’re included in that bunch, check out the NEW prices below! (And if you ARE a Magic Keyholder, those prices just increased, too!)
The prices were increased by an average of 6-7%. Tier 0 Tickets remain at the same price of $104, Tier 1 Tickets jumped from $114 to $119, Tier 2 Tickets jumped from $129 to $134, Tier 3 Tickets jumped from $144 to $154, Tier 4 Tickets jumped from $159 to $169, Tier 5 Tickets jumped from $169 to $184, and Tier 6 Tickets jumped from $179 to $194.
The bad news continues with the fact that multi-day tickets also experienced increases. 😬 2-day multi tickets jumped from $285 to $310, 3-Day tickets jumped from $360 to $390, 4-day tickets jumped from $395 to $445, and 5-day tickets jumped from $415 to $480. 1-day Park Hoppers remain at $65 extra, 2-day Park Hoppers jumped from $60 to $65 extra, 3-day and 4-day Park Hoppers jumped from $60 to $70 extra, and 5-day Park Hoppers jumped from $60 to $75 extra.
The GOOD NEWS IS… ticket prices don’t vary by date for multi-day tickets. 🎉 (We had to include SOME pixie dust in this daunting price-increase post!)
Well, what do you think? This news follows the announcement that Genie+ at the parks will now be priced at $30 per day for pre-arrival purchases, and start at $30 for day-of purchases but can vary based on demand.
