Going to Disney World? Get ready to spend money — and lots of it.

It’s no secret that traveling in general is expensive, let alone a Disney World vacation. There are so many things to consider including how you get there, the hotels, ticket options, food, souvenirs, and more. One cost that you have to decide on is Genie+ — Disney’s skip-the-line service.
Genie+ starts at $15 per day, but we’ve seen it as high as $35 earlier this year. The prices have been pretty consistent lately, but that all changed on October 8th.

On October 7th, the price went up to $25, but on Sunday, October 8th, the price hit $29 for the multi-park and Magic Kingdom options. As a reminder, Genie+ changed earlier this year so that the prices are different depending on the park — here’s a full breakdown of the prices on the 8th:
- Multiple Parks — $29
- Magic Kingdom — $29
- EPCOT — $18
- Hollywood Studios — $22
- Animal Kingdom — $16

The last time we saw these prices was July 5th, 2023. This weekend is a holiday weekend which is known to draw crowds to the parks.
This comes after major technical difficulties with the My Disney Experience app. A pop-up message in the app said, “At this time, new selections, purchases or modifications to Disney Genie+ service features are temporarily unavailable.”
