This NEW Lyft Feature Could Change Your Rideshare Experience in Disney World

One popular rideshare company is attempting to make its riders feel more comfortable.

Have you ever used a rideshare service at Disney World?

From short drives to long rides, this change could give a portion of rideshare passengers a new choice when booking a trip. Let’s talk about it.

Lyft just introduced Women+ Connect, a “new feature that matches women and nonbinary drivers with more women and nonbinary riders.

According to Lyft, this was a highly requested feature that will offer both passengers and drivers more control over the experience. Women+ Connect will be a new option that can be turned on right in the Lyft app.

If Women+ Connect is activated, the app will prioritize matches with nearby women and nonbinary riders/drivers. Note that if there aren’t any women or nonbinary riders nearby, drivers may still be matched with men. Lyft explains that Women+ Connect is a preference feature, not a guarantee.

This new feature is still being rolled out across the US, and when Women+ Connect arrives, women and nonbinary riders will receive a message in the Lyft app. From there, the app will increase the chances of matching with women and nonbinary drivers. Look out for the change starting in Chicago, Phoenix, San Diego, San Francisco, and San Jose.
