Disney has closed, discontinued, or otherwise ended certain services over the past few years, and now they’ve announced another big change.

We’ve already said “goodbye” to the Magical Express, FastPass+ (replaced with Genie+), Splash Mountain (will become Tiana’s Bayou Adventure), Stitch’s Great Escape, Primeval Whirl, and more. But now soon another Disney service will be altered in a big way.
In a message sent to travel agents, Disney announced that starting August 27th, 2023, it will be transitioning its floral and gifts service to a third-party vendor.
Right now, if you want to order flowers, a gift basket, balloons, or other special things for your hotel room, you can order them through Disney’s own Floral and Gifts company — either by placing your order online or by calling Disney, but soon that option won’t exist.

These items can be added through Disney’s own Floral & Gifts service to vacations that will be fulfilled on or before August 26th. But floral items, gifts, or other related in-room amenities can’t be added to travel packages for vacations on or after August 27th.

If you placed an order through Disney Floral & Gifts for August 27th or later, Disney has said that those costs will be fully refunded and that refund should appear on a guest accounts in the coming days.

Those looking to place a new order for dates that fall on or after August 27th are being encouraged to check the Disney Floral & Gifts website closer to their arrival date to learn more about how to place orders with the new vendor — Florida Fresh Floral.

So if you’ve always wanted to order a little something extra for family game night in the hotel, your honeymoon or anniversary, a birthday, or a special event, and you’ve wanted to order it specifically through Disney Floral & Gifts, be sure to get in those orders NOW for vacation dates on or before August 26th.
